Volunteers
The Foundation of the EMRA
Volunteering is the best place to start if you want to go racing or if you just love motorsports! Working at the track as a volunteer is the second best seat in the house next to the riders seat! Without our amazing EMRA Volunteers, motorcycle roadracing would be a very wastefull past-time...like NASCAR...kidd'n! Email the EMRA @ EMRA Volunteers 2008 Volunteer Individual Points System (VIP'S) This 2008 season will see the the EMRA working harder for our hard working volunteers. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!! The Edmonton Motorcycle Roadracing Association is looking for volunteers! Who are we looking for?
EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED! What do volunteers do? WITH NO EXPERIENCE we can use you to help park cars, take tickets, assist the riders, do security, set up and tear down the track. WITH SOME FREE TRAINING we can use you to work the corner stations, and wave the yellow, red, and other flags on the track. This is the 2nd best seat in the house, next to being on a bike. WITH MORE EXPERIENCE you can eventually advance in the racing world. Race directors, starters, technicians, referees, they all have to start somewhere. Volunteering is a great way to do it! Who knows, you may even wind up racing !
Where and When do volunteers work? Almost all of our work is done outside at the Stratotech Raceway. This racetrack is located just outside Ft. Saskatchewan.
A volunteer will work Saturdays and Sundays on race weekends. We understand that volunteers will probably not be able to make every weekend, but we need volunteers to come as often as possible.
Why do volunteers work for free? There are perks to volunteering:
