i may be wrong, was there not at least little squares as grid marks last round?
i think with the pit board being sorted and grid sheets not changing, then things should be fine. and as mentioned, as always if there is a problem, wave your arm to get the starters/ gridders attention. with the intermediates required to have the hands off the bike as the experts get started, it is necessary to make it a very obvious waving motion as well.

just to add my 2 cents. We had cones in place that indicated the start and end of each grid line.
