2013 AGM notes

Here are the highlights from the 2013 AGM:

Castrol negotiations are progressing, they're moving a lot of the walls. We're hoping to have a race school at the end of May and then a 5 or 6 race series starting in June. We should have all the dates finalized in December.
Castrol has a one hour shorter race day than Stratotech did, and we have to set up and tear down air fence, so the club is looking at combining grids and being on track at 9 AM sharp to make up the difference in time.

After much discussion there are three big changes in the rule book for 2014:

-Front brake guards will be mandatory for all classes and practice.
-Allowing single cylinder bikes in the middleweight twins classes (and eliminating the SM-GP class).
-Introduction of a second middleweight class with the same equipment rules as 600 Supersport but with qualifying and more laps, yet to be named.

Your 2014 Executive looks like this:

President: Ian Wall
Vice President: Justin Knapik
Treasurer: Todd Yakimoski
Secretary: Scott Paras
Director: Jon Bullee
Director: Dave Kendal
Director: Colin Lolacher
Director: Ernie MacCafferty
Director: Jason Kolmatycki
Director: Brian Worsdall
Director: Dana Draper (pending haircut)

Thank you to all those that came out and participated.

The next EMRA event will be the bike show in the middle of January, if you have a nice shiny bike that you would like to display at the show, and/or you want to volunteer some of your time then contact our secretary Scott Paras.

Thanks, Ian
