March 26, 2019 EMRA meeting minutes
Attendance
Mark Armstrong. Dale Patriquin. Brian Worsdall. Jeff Sanderson. Steven O`Brien. Neil Carlson. Jon Bullee. Erik Russnak. Owen El Baba. Scott Huber. Trevor Patrick. Rob Darlington. Sean Hofmeister. Justin Gehlert.
Race School prep
· Use to test registration, logistics, PA system,etc.
· Try and do more visual demonstrations, use bikes for these.
· Need a list of riders/bikes to make up groups of similar bikes.
· Trevor to send email to entrants about requirements, etc.
· Jon working on getting more instructors.
· Riders meeting moved to 7:30 to accommodate track tour using three trucks with three groups.
· T-Shirts. Brian to take care of.
· Scott to confirm insurance for Race School.
· Steve to ensure radios are charged.
Track prep
· Work is progressing well, with exec members visiting track to monitor progress.
· On schedule to finish safety changes in the next two weeks.
· Owen available with loader if needed.
Turn 9 scaffolding/structure update
· Unanimous vote to go with purpose built structure made by Mark`s Renovations and repair Inc.
· Checking with Castrol about install.
Airfence order
· Quote requested for 12 side impact blocks, 2 transitional, and 4 covers.
· If more are needed, they can be ordered at a later date.
Girls And Gears
· Steve brought a number of questions about running the event, and all issues/questions were resolved.
Airfence truck
· Truck purchased.
· Still unclear whether or not it comes with Nickelback CD.
Dealership Sponsorships
· Suggested that we go with slightly less cash and some merchandise.
Fundraiser review
· Both The Calgary and Edmonton events were a success with prizes given away, and fun had by all.
· Final numbers still pending.
Exec changes
· Dale stepping back, and Justin stepping in. We thank Dale for his help and look forward to seeing him at the track.
