SV650 gearing

Like everyone else, I'm trying to get ready for the upcoming season and I don't have anywhere in my notes the gearing I used at Stratotech. Form looking at the "sprockets bag" I believe I used a 14/47 combo. I do remember being at 10,000 RPM in 6th at marker 3 for turn two.

In those days I ran a stock SV rear rim. Now I have the 5" F3 rim and I currently have a 45T rear sprocket. I have a 520 chain so some options are available.

Has anyone run a 13/45 combo? 13 seems very small on the front! I current have a 15/45 combo.

I'm wondering if a 14/45 would work and maybe forget about 6th?

I would appreciate any thoughts you have.

Yes, 14/45 with 5th on the straight and 3rd through all of the infield if you are a lazy shifter like me :) I believe some have also had success with 15/47.

I like 15/48, but I carry a lot of corner speed now. But I'm not anywhere near as fast as Arctic Donkey. He's the one to listen to!
