Suit for the school.

Unfortunately I have found myself without a proper suit for the school this weekend. Is there any chance I can rent a suit this weekend? If not I will have to wear my textile suit that is sans knee sliders (which may or may not be a problem).

You require a race suit one piece or two piece zipped together. We really don't want to see textiles. Track days are one thing, this is a race school. Dan (at Stratotech) has leathers you can rent last time I checked. Give him a call, 780-998-9995.

Thank you. I will contact Dan. I know they rents suits for track days, but I wasn't sure about the race school weekend.

Don't worry about the snow today. Sat and Sunday are expected to be mid teens for temp and possible rain on sunday, but the track often seems to avoid rain even if it is raining in Edmonton.

is there back up dates in place for the school? i know its snowing here

I will have Michelin Snow tires and the New Canadian Power One Michelin DOT Slushes. They are very good for heavy standing wet snow grip. I did 105's last year in the slush there on them. So no worries:D!!

No seriously the school goes on, we'll be fine. In the rare event there is ice we'll wait until the track clears up..

I know it's the day before, but I have to ask...

I've done the track school prep as listed on the race school info (water + waterwetter, have tape for lenses/lights etc...). Do I need to safety wire anything for this weekend? I thought I'd read something about wiring up sidestands, but after that I've got a lot of work to do if a proper safety wire job is needed to pass Saturday tech!

*edit* if I read this correctly, then the prep I've done is sufficient - just wanted to be sure! http://emra.ca/forum/showpost.php?p=791&postcount=2

No you don't need to safety wire anything for the race school.

On the subject of removing the coolant please be careful if you are storing your bike outside or you are transporting your bike to the track in a non-enclosed vehicle. The overnight lows are not looking very good.
