For immediate release:

The Western Canadian Championship welcomes all its riders to the 2012 season. The WCC will be hosting a double header weekend in Mission BC and a double header weekend in Edmonton AB which will run in conjunction with each clubs regularly scheduled event. Championships are determined by the greatest amount of race points accumulated over the 4 rounds of competition.

WCC 2012 Schedule
Round 1 May 19, 2012 Mission Raceway Mission, British Columbia
Round 2 May 20, 2012 Mission Raceway Mission, British Columbia
Round 3 July 14, 2012 Stratotech Park Edmonton, Alberta
Round 4 July 15, 2012 Stratotech Park Edmonton, Alberta

WCC Championship Titles
Intermediate and Expert 600 Supersport
Intermediate and Expert Open Supersport
Intermediate and Expert SUPERBIKE
Battle of the Twins (WMRC)/ Formula Thunder (EMRA)
**Qualifying/ gridding procedures will be announced at a later date for these events

The rules and bike requirements for each WCC round are based off of the rules set by the hosting club, please visit the WMRC or the EMRA website for their rulebooks and specific club information.

A notable omission for 2012 is the loss of the CMRA (Calgary) leg of the Western Canadian Championship. Calgary has lost its famed high speed road course to expanding city demands and therefore does not have a track for competition. The WCC invites and encourages all CMRA racers to any of the 4 rounds the WCC is hosting and we hope there will be a Calgary leg for all to enjoy in the near future.

If you have any questions, please contact you local clubs WCC representative.
