WMRC held a double round and special event Canada day long weekend!!!!

During the 2013 Canada day long weekend the WMRC presented a 250 gold cup race with invites from past and present champions including Washington and Alberta 250 racers making the journey and $2000.00 purse. The 250 races saw Pacific Riding School's "Kramer" take two first places and two second places while Washington's, USA 250 champion Adam Faucette battled for two 1st place and two 2nd place finished splitting the 4 races between the two. West Coast Superbike Schools multi time B.C. champion Troy Burstyk amongst a grid of approx 20 racers also battled for the lead. During the 40 degree temperature weekend Adam and Kramer proceeded to break the 250 lap record seven times during the heated battle from the original 123.023 lap record in 2012 set by Oliver Jervis 2006 B.C. Superbike Champion to the current standing lap record of 121.440. It was witnessed that Kramer and Adam's bikes hit each other on 3 occasions during their battles at speeds of over 110 kph as they tried to beat each other going into Turns 2 on the first lapin the first occasion, coming out of turns 3 and the biggest impact of the battle witnessed by all spectators going into turn 6 on the last lap of the "Pacific Riding School 250 Challenge Race". During the Canada Day race weekend the announcer (Scott Borthwick) tagged the race tracks turn #4 as "Kramer's corner" as it was said that the speeds appeared to be completely out of control with consistent slides almost sending the rider off the track on numerous oaccasions. The event saw record numbers of spectators which endured 40 degree temps race results can be found on the wmrc.ca website.
