Frank our helmet requirements for 2012 will be:

USA/Canada: Snell M2010
BSI: 6658 Type A
United Nations: Regulation ECE 22.05 P'
Japan: JIS 8133:2007

So to answer your question, as long as your helmet is a 6658 Type A you're good. It must have the "Type A" on the certification sticker.

Think I got it figured out. My helmet is a Suomy Vandal. And from what I understand it should be good to go.

E3= made in (Italy).
0558919/P=

05: reference standard.
58919: file number.
/P: protective chin guard.

--004361= helmet production number.
(E3= Italy, E1= Germany, E9=Spain…..)

The ECE 22.05 is just one of the safety standards applied by VEMAR. VEMAR crash helmets are also effectively certified with all the other world standards, amongst which:
D.O.T., SNELL, A.S., SA2010, K2010, FIA 8858, FIA 8860, etc

Are ACU Gold certified helmets going to be accepted?

The list of accepted helmet standards is written above.

In theory an ACU Gold certified helmet would be okay. The problem is that you can buy ACU Gold stickers off of the internet so the sticker itself no longer means anything.

Can you tell me what model it is and when it was manufactured?
