WCC Championships

Hi Justin, Great News on the WCC Championship Rounds, I suspected that Edmonton would be July as that is our only double header round,

I like the idea of qualifying based on lap times on the Friday Track Day / Practice Days,

The Good News everyone is that Quick Shifters are also totally OK for all the classes in Mission as they are in Edmonton, Excluding any spec class series like the the Kawasaki ninja cup for 250 bikes of course,

This is going to be a great race year,

Enjoy the ride, and best regards,
Blair

In Calgary they use a HP limit, instead of a displacement limit.

Here is a exerpt from their Rulebook that is posted above.

Immediately following each horsepower limited heat and/or race, the top five
finishers must report to the dyno, and the top three finishers plus other motorcycles
chosen at random will be dyno tested to verify horsepower (see 7.5.2 for exceptions).
Each class is restricted to the following maximum rear wheel horsepower.
5.5.7.1 Lightweight and Veterans 65 HP
5.5.7.2 M/W Sportbike and M/W Superbike Match Canadian National HP
limits (currently 125 HP)
5.5.7.3 Amateur Heavyweight Sportbike 175 HP
5.5.7.4 Expert Heavyweight Sportbike Match Canadian National HP
Limits (currently 185 HP)
5.5.7.5 Ducati Cup 118 HP
5.5.7.6 Switches or other devices designed to affect the horsepower readings
between the race and during dyno-testing are strictly prohibited.
5.5.7.7 Any motorcycle that tests over the class horsepower limit is penalized
finishing positions as outlined below:
- 0 - 1.9 HP (2 position penalty)
- 2.0 - 2.9 HP (3 position penalty)
- 3.0 - 4.9 HP (4 position penalty)
- 5 or greater (Disqualification)
5.5.7.8 Dyno horsepower limits will be applied whether or not riders had a chance
to test their motorcycle before the race, even if the dyno was unavailable for
any reason.

Now with that said. There is a rule change coming down the pipe from the CMRA that will affect the WCC. It will only affect what races are Points races for the WCC. Please stay tuned over the next couple of weeks and we will post is ASAP
