Covered pits on race weekend

Whats the story on covered pits? First come first served, some secret pecking order that a new guy wouldn't be aware of, rent at the track ? etc. etc.

It is first come first serve but there are the regulars that pit in the same spot. After the first round, everyone pretty much pits there the rest of the season.

There is no "written" code on this so if you see a spot you like, TAKE IT!!

that being said the pits near the end where the ambulance sits, last few, is usually where blair sets up shop for all the sv racing parts goodies

Park right in front of the building, in the sidewalk kind of area. Or Pit in the middle row of gravel pit area closest to the building. Nobody important ever pits there!

Covered pits: I can't speak for all of them, but Scona Cycle pays Dan a fee for the advertising above their pits and hence their sponsored riders get first use of them.
