Looks like we will be losing our power around the end of August. Anyone in the Edmonton area (Alberta for that matter) have any info on the best place to buy a high quality ~8Kw diesel generator and a place for batteries?

I was going to say solar panels, but you need some light for them, and your winters are a little too dark ;). costco.ca lists Generac 7kW/10kW/17kW standby generators, but it looks like they're natural gas or propane. Reasonable prices though.

Greg, us and the 4-plex which is coming down sometime this summer. This is happening up in Yellowknife so you are likely safe Snakes :)
