Just installing my lap timer in my 2006 gsxr 600. Were does everyone locate the transponder on the bike. Can it be mounted to the side of the forks by the right clip on?

People usually put their beacons up on the wall between the hot pits and the track, ideally you'd like to put your lap timer at the same height on the right side of the bike. So yes, somewhere up by the right clip-on should be good as long as nothing is blocking it from "seeing" the beacon.

Thanks for the help. I only have the lap timer no beacon as I got it with my bike and it didn't come with. At race events does the club have a beacon up on the wall that people can use. I have a aim tg lap timer.

Yup, Mr.Layton always has a TX setup on the wall for everyone's XT laptimers. I'm not sure if they're compatible, someone else would know that one.

Aim and xt will work together. OP, put your laptimer to read off the right side of the bike so that when you pass the tower it points at it. Good luck!
