AIR FENCE SETUP
Airfence and required equipment is being set up on the Castrol Raceway road course, Thursday Sep. 2 at 5:30pm. If you can make it to help, please contact Graham Lynch so he knows you are coming to help set up. Please be aware air fence moves, set ups and tear downs have been very poorly attended this year. That is incredibly disheartening. This club is built on hard work, enthusiasm, and helpfulness. If this trend continues fees will almost certainly go up next season.

Parking
Parking will begin after the air fence is set up. At no time may you park sooner, you will be asked to leave. Air fence volunteers will get first dibs on parking spots for the weekend. Large trailer parking is reserved for toy haulers, camper and RV units. If you park somewhere you shouldn't you will be asked once to move, then asked to leave. We have limited parking available. Overnight camping is allowed, trailers only no tents. Please see the map below.

TECH AND REGISTRATION:

Registration closes at 12pm Sep. 1. Anyone trying to register after that will be charged an additional $50 late fee.

The EMRA uses MotorsportReg for registration, MyLaps for timing & gridding, and RaceHero for live timing.

Tech will be Friday evening in the pits, as time permits, see Brian Worsdall and Shane Fraser for tech. Saturday, and Sunday morning starting approx 7AM. Cones will be setup near the sponsor display/podium. Please make an orderly line. PLEASE HAVE YOUR HELMET /GEAR WITH YOUR BIKE. If a bike is sitting in the tech lineup with no rider or gear, we will pass over the bike.

Transponders are available from Niel Carlson. Medical data carriers will be available during tech inspection and registration at the track. Transponders rentals are $50 per weekend, MDCs are $5 each to purchase. ALL RIDERS MUST HAVE A NEW MDC FOR THIS SEASON, they are blue in color and available with tech and registration tents.

ADDITIONAL NOTES-
-
Track must remain clean, garbage cans and recycle cans will be placed around the pits, please be a polite user dispose of your own garbage and keep the pit area clean. Do not leave tires, fuel tins, broken tents.

Please do not abuse volunteers or race officials. We have received a number of complaints and concerns lately. Talk to your rider reps if you have any complaints or concerns. DO NOT talk to race officials, volunteers or corner workers.

Race Starts and warm up laps: Riders arriving at the gate after the lead rider has completed 50% of the warm up lap will be held at the gate. They will be permitted to enter the track and proceed to the start grid after the last rider on track passes the gate. Riders arriving at the gate after the last rider on track passes the gate will be allowed to start from the gate, but only after all riders are clear of the first corner. Riders not gridded at the gate before the race leader has completed 50% of the first lap of the race shall not be allowed to join the race.

Superpole: In the last rotation of qualifying, the final session (for the group of fastest riders) shall be replaced by a Superpole session. Participation is limited to up to 10 riders with the fastest lap times of the day. Each participant must be registered for Dash for Cash and at least one other Superbike race.

Waving Yellow: Waving – Indicates a serious hazard on or near the track. Proceed with caution. Passing is not allowed from the flag stations displaying waving yellow (this is a line perpendicular to and crossing the track) until the rider is beyond the incident.

Team Championship – This championship consists of 4 riders per team. Riders may only be on one team. Team points are the combined total of each rider’s three best point results from each round; and the team with the highest combined point total will be awarded a custom team trophy at the year end banquet. Points are awarded to the rider, not the bike; riding two bikes in different classes can earn additional points for that rider. There are no limitations on bikes or race entries. To enter, you must register with one of the EMRA Executive prior to Round 1 and pay an $80 (per team) entry fee.

Endurance Race – We are excited to be bringing back the endurance race. Check out this link for more info: http://www.emra.ca/forums/index.php?threads/2021-emra-endurance-race-rules.5120/

Sean Henderson Award – The season is in it's second half, take a good look around for a fellow racer you think should be nominated for this award.

Drug and substance abuse – The EMRA, Castrol Raceway, and Stratotech Park all have zero tolerance for alcohol or substance abuse during events. Castrol Racway is locate in Leduc County. Leduc County Bylaw No. 01-19, restricts cannabis consumption on airport property, Castrol Raceway is located on airport property. This Bylaw will not change EIA’s current cannabis consumption policies (www.flyeia.com/cannabis). It may, however, change Castrol Raceway policies, which previously were up to each individual tenant.

There can be zero consumption of cannabis at or around the airport property, with the exclusion of prescribed, medicinal cannabis in the existing smoking areas around the terminal. Individual tenants can apply to the County directly to allow consumption in their own areas. For tenants with approved designated smoking areas, the consumption of medicinal cannabis will continue to be allowed under the County’s new bylaw. The penalty for consuming cannabis without a valid prescription will be a $287 ticket issued by a peace officer, and potentially a $500 fine in the instance of obstruction of a peace officer.
